Preparing for your first session
There's nothing you need to do to be ready — you're welcome exactly as you are. But a few small choices help the body receive more, and ease any first-time nerves.
In the days before
- Hydrate. Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours beforehand. Lymph is mostly water; it moves more easily when you're well hydrated.
- Wait out any illness. If you've had cold or flu symptoms, leave at least two weeks before a lymphatic session.
- Complete your intake form. It only takes a few minutes and lets your practitioner prepare for you specifically — including anything that needs care.
On the day
- Eat lightly beforehand — enough that you're not hungry, not so much that you're full.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Loose underwear, or none — avoid anything tight around the groin or chest, which restricts the very flow we're encouraging.
- Arrive a few minutes early so you can land before we begin rather than rushing in.
Afterward
- Keep drinking water. You may feel pleasantly tired — that's normal; let yourself rest.
- Keep the rest of your day gentle if you can. The session keeps working for a day or two.
If a question comes up before you arrive, just reply to your confirmation email. There's no such thing as a silly one.
